Indiana Center Kelel Ware Fires Back at Critic

Ware Defends Tattoos After Outkick Host's Criticism

Miami Heat Rookie Responds to Detractors

Indiana star center Kelel Ware has fired back at Outkick host Dan Dakich after the latter criticized him for getting tattoos.

Dakich, a former Indiana player and coach, had said on his podcast that he didn't understand why Ware, who is known for his humble and hardworking demeanor, would get tattoos. Dakich suggested that the tattoos were a sign of arrogance and that they would hurt Ware's NBA career.

Ware, who was drafted by the Miami Heat with the 30th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, took to social media to respond to Dakich's criticism. In a series of tweets, Ware said that he got tattoos because he wanted to express himself and that they had nothing to do with arrogance.

Ware also pointed out that he has a long track record of success on and off the court. He was a three-time All-Big Ten honoree at Indiana and was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. Ware is also an active member of his community, volunteering his time to work with underprivileged youth.

Ware's response to Dakich's criticism was met with support from many fans and observers. Many people pointed out that Ware's tattoos are well-done and tasteful, and that they do not detract from his character or his ability to play basketball.
